The real news is that – Mr. Thompson was the CEO of the John Birch Society (JBS) from 2005 to 2020 when he retired. He was one of the kind; and the kind removed him.

Mr. Melanson, the contact page does not work/load, hence this way of trying to contact u.
I know your book Perfectibilists is the best (IMO) but I came across a ref to another book, much older, and before investing in purchasing a used copy I thought I would ask u. The book is Vilgus’ The Illuminoids; worth me spending the $55 and time reading it? Plz feel free to delete this comment and just reply to me directly.

    • Thanks for alerting me about the Contact page. I was not aware of that issue.

I have not read Illuminoids. I learned about it from Robert Anton Wilson’s Cosmic Trigger books. As far as I remember it is a compendium of Illuminati fact and fiction, from English sources, up until 1978. The material in my book takes into account German, French and Italian studies, especially the important discoveries in German regarding membership (and Bode’s trip to Paris) that was published in the 1990s.

    Hello Terry Melanson,
Was Adam Weishaupt a rationalist or an empiricist?
Okey, He was a rational man, but a rationalist?
    take a look at these:
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Weishaupt
    “School: Empiricism”
    but,
“Weishaupt’s radical rationalism and vocabulary were unlikely to succeed.”

“German empiricist Popularphilosoph, founder of the Order of the Illuminati, a secret society which has inspired a number of conspiracy theories.”

“Adam Weishaupt (1748-1830) was an empiricist…”
