From Blackwater to Xe, the Templar Crusade
Michael Carmichael - January 10, 2010
Blackwater is a corporation that provides mercenary soldiers and supporting security personnel to the US government.
Erik Prince, the founder and owner of the now infamous US corporation, Blackwater, hails from Holland, Michigan where his family was both powerful and prominent in two institutions - (1) the Republican Party and (2) the evangelical Christian Church. After scandals hit his large and lucrative firm, Prince ordered a curious rebranding that changed its name to Xe.
X is an archaic form of abbreviation for Christ and/or Christian that was derived from the cross and the Greek Alphabet. X or Chi is the Greek letter that is the initial of “Christos” - X - which at the same time served as a symbol for the cross. Sometimes written Chi-Rho, (Xp) is another abbreviation for Christos and his followers, the Christians. From the perspective of medieval Christian symbology, ‘Xe’ is a combination of the Christic cross and the Greek letter, Epsilon, the first letter in the Greek word, Evangelion, glad tidings or gospel. From the perspective of a modern member of the Knights Templar, Xe is immediately recognizable as it symbolizes Christian Evangelism.

I was thinking along similar lines to this when I heard about the name change. How fascinating, but grotesquely so, that there may be those who believe in the idea of the crusades still and seem active in carrying such things out.

I’ve just found another site that talks about the meaning of it - Xenon. Perhaps it is combination of the two. Who knows.

In the part of the article, titled “the Current Crusade” the author, Michael Carmichael, tries to tie the current Pope’s opposition to the pro-abortion John Kerry, back in the 2004 election, as some how signifying the Catholic Church’s sponsorship of Bush’s “crusade.” Carmichael, either out of ignorance or intent, fails to mention that the Church opposed Bush’s war in Iraq. Also any perception of Kerry (who is Catholic by the way, just not a very good one) as some kind of anti-Bush Saviour, is pure liberal fantasy! I mean, for God’s sakes, Kerry, like Bush is Yale Skull and Bones Society! That should be enough to demolish his messianic image. The the war in Iraq was more a Neo-Con Republican project, the War is Afghanistan is something many Democrats, like Kerry, were and are quite behind.
And as for what the author calls the Pope’s “insensitive remarks about Islam,” let’s put that in context too. The Pope, asked “what did Islam bring to the world that was new?” This caused Islamic radicals around the world to kill a few members of Christians minorities in their countries or burn down some churches. So it’s the Pope who is the bastard in all of this? “Oh but he should have known how they’d react!” That kind of statement is the real western middle class bigoted b.s!If we don’t expect civil standards from people, simply because of their religion, race or nationality then we are, in fact, the real bigots! In the West, the media says much worse things about Christianity constantly, and mass organized, violent reprisal from Christians is extremely, extremely rare. And when we do non-violently protest some movie or tv show that slams us, we’re compared to the bloody Spanish Inquisition!
Google Carmichael and his organization “the planetary movement.” He’s basically part of the New Age far left. Think Constance Cumbey’s “Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow.” He doesn’t like Jung though, so not quite, but close enough. Maybe instead think Mike Judge’s “The Goode Family.” That doesn’t invalidate his over all criticisms of Blackwater, of course. They’re merc scumbags.
Oh one more point where I think the author is completely disingenuous. I feel Carmichael, attempts to confound Prince’s violent Crusade with the non-violent missionary directive of Christianity as a whole. Though a violent war against Islamic people, is of course completely morally wrong, it actually is a Christian’s duty to make sure that (through non-violent and non-manipulative means) Islam and every religion but Christianity eventually disappears from the earth, through peaceful conversion. This isn’t because Christians hate people of other faiths but rather because one of our beliefs is that Christ is the only way to eternal salvation. This is something we must do out of love for others not hate. That doesn’t mean we have to get “in people’s faces about it” in some obnoxious way but we do have to make some effort and telling us we have to shut up about it, is just as much an impositions of one belief over another. We are not the lone “bad guys” who believe this. Islam believes the same thing about their faith, so when they say that they want to convert the world, unlike many alarmed secularists, I am neither surprised nor offended.
In fact, despite the fact that religious pluralists would deny this, they too harbour similar beliefs. It’s impossible not to. They claim they are more tolerant than organized religions and that they believe in many truths, but the equal veracity of all faiths is itself a dogma that excludes any religion that promotes it’s own unique possession of the truth, which is every religion. Therefore, pluralism too, (though it kids itself) insists that you must believe like them if you are to have full possession of truth.
As I said, the assertion that there is such a thing as absolute truth isn’t a bad thing, it’s something we all must believe. It is a function of the mind that can’t be shut off. I just wish some people, like Carmichael would stop being so false about it so we can move on to the more important (non-violent) debate about which truth claim is correct. In my mind this is why democracy exists, to allow inter-religious and inter-ideological dialogue and not to degrade into a Theocracy of the Pluralist Church. And no, I’m not saying that any pluralist has ever put a gun to any of our heads, I’m merely pointing out the internal contradiction inherit in their criticism of other religions. We can all get along with each other without pretending we all believe the same thing. It’s okay to admit we radically disagree. It’s not okay to kill over these radical disagreements.
Despite my above criticisms though, if Blackwater really is engaged in a Christian Crusade in the Holy Land, they should be uncovered, stopped and brought to justice, and mainstream Christianity should publicly denounce Blackwater and it’s actions. If Prince thinks killing Muslims is what Christ wants, then he’s not a real Christian, whether he believes he is or not. If he thinks it’s okay to be racist against Arabs (not all of whom are Muslim by the way) or any other race, then he is also not a real Christian. In this sense, I’m forced to say, good for Carmichael using his knowledge of esoteric symbolism to reveal Blackwater’s agenda. This is a nice companion piece to the Collins brothers podcast, on the same topic.

I noticed the X and e look like a skull and bones. Put the capitol X on its side. Then put the e over the X.

Ross mentions prince’s intentions aren’t justified through Christianity. Religion is all about interpretation and the ones OWN context towards the bible. Just like Muslims have their interpretations of the Koran, and some interpret to clear all infidels through violence, other seek to convert others through peaceful solutions. This is roughly the same with prince. He feels that “There is only one god” means, he has to rid the thoughts of others, of their respective religion. Saying he is not Christian is because Ross interprets Christianity different.
