Nice catch. Connects with this somewhat:

  2. Terry Melanson Says:

“Cymatics” is where it’s at. Why 12 notes? Why? And only 12? That is the question. And it hasn’t been answered satisfactorily by anyone’s standard. Not thirteen; not 11; not 10 - 12, exactly.

  3. Terry Melanson Says:

In order to explain - the why 12, and only 12? - the entire universe would have to be contemplated as a whole - purpose and meaning. So they - the sacerdotal scientists - do not go there.

  4. Jay Dyer Says:

I say - 12 houses of Mazzaroth, 12 tribes, 12 Apostles, 12 gods of Olympus and 12 foundation stones of the new Jerusalem.

  5. Terry Melanson Says:

Yes, that’s true. But I feel that the original impetus for even apprehending the importance of “12″ per say, was the very real fact that there were 12 notes to begin with. As a musician, I myself am floored by the universal constant - 12 and only 12. Imagine what the ancients thought in this respect? Pythagoras and his school were certainly obsessed with sound and music.

Sound is the secret behind the secret of the universe. In this context, just think about the passage in John that “in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God.” Logos. Which echoes the beginning account in Genesis as well.

Then when you take into account the so-called “string theory” of modern physics - which postulates that distinctions in matter are a reflection of vibrational or frequency nuances - then you have a sound theory of the birth, makeup and evolution of the entire universe.

    Sound is where it’s at.

  6. Terry Melanson Says:

And - ya - I think Cymatics is an important area to thoroughly investigate. That’s one of the reasons why the so-called “cop circles” continues to fascinate me - especially since they haven’t yet been satisfactorily explained away. The opposite has occurred: they have evolved into a highly complex system of symbols that, on the surface, seem impossible to accomplish by the mere hand of man (as hindered as he is by the constraints of time and physicality).

The tired story of Bob and Doug in the field - toiling away in spirit of the perfect hoax - is insulting in the extreme.

  7. Jay Dyer Says:

Terry - I agree and have speculated about just such an idea, ever since I read Narnia when Aslan creates Narnia with music.

And, I was just about to ask you what you made of crop circles…

  8. Jay Dyer Says:

Yes, plus all the best attempts at faked-on-purpose circles I’ve seen on debunking vids look really lame.
