Survival of the Richest: Obama’s Corporate Stimulus Package
Survival of the Richest: Obama’s Corporate Stimulus Package
Paul and Phillip Collins | 2009-06-24 - Just how many other states have used stimulus dollars to curry favor with corporations? If this is the case, corporate interests stand to become the chief beneficiaries of the federal stimulus program. If stimulus money is being used by states to court corporations, then taxpayer dollars are being used to subsidize the relocation of already existing jobs. Such a state of affairs hardly fosters economic growth. Infrastructure is not being built, just displaced. Meanwhile, the fiscal stimulus, which is constituted by taxpayer dollars, only stimulates Big Business. In this sense, the Obama Administration’s economic recovery plan could actually be nothing more than the conduit for an enormous wealth transferral to corporate interests. Simultaneously, the economic recovery plan could be fostering a social Darwinian climate where states must use stimulus funds as weapons in a struggle for economic survival.

Wow, what a fascinating read. What a revelation on the turn of events. Although, I have compassion on those who will be harmed and affected by such corporate transfers, all that I can say is…..Didn’t Ohio vote for the Obamerization of America? Indeed, they did. “So, shut it up, and eat it all up, all of you Ohioans.”
Corporate welfare is not a new “ism,” or black hole entity . It has been going on for decades. Corporations get tax breaks, from all levels of government from county to federal, America is in peril, this is no doubt, but does it come to anyone’s shock or dismay? And if so, then how could it? Taxpayers have sucked down all of the sewage of many distasteful transactions and force feedings by the socialist politic body as a whole, why should these men of Ohio bemoan, and say that the taxpayers of Ohio are footing the bill, or why is it, or how is it that they are not content with their Socialist Turnout at the polls?
Hey Ohioans, I am footing the bill too, but we told you so! Suck it up and take it like the minced men and women you all are…vote differently next time.

Etienne,
Well, I partially agree with you. Certainly, Sherrod Brown and Ted Strickland have little business decrying such use of stimulus money when they supported Obama. In addition, I personally know plenty of Ohioans who voted for Obama.
However, Paul and I live in Ohio and we certainly did NOT vote for Obama. In fact, that is why we wrote the article in the first place. Ohio residents like us are suffering as well.
And, remember the admonition that we ended the article with… voting Republican will not result in the dismantling of Obama’s corporatist machinations. As is evidenced by Limbaugh’s rant, the political “right” simply wishes to seize the reins of the very same statist machinations created by the Obama Administration and use them against their dialectical rivals on the “left.”
So, you are partially correct. A majority of Ohioans deserve the heartache that they are experiencing. However, neither Paul nor I can be numbered among them. Moreover, voting differently is not an adequate solution. Not unless there is a candidate worth voting for.

Barack Obama has been a commander who will go down in history for more than simply becoming the pioneer black North american president. With the worold financial crisis there have been some problematic circumstances currently for Americans and for the whole planet and President obama has had to cope with just how to tackle this and lots of other complications. He has his practitioners as well as critics however he’s without doubt made a big contribution to United states.
