A Strange Metallic Plaque with Cybernetic Occult Symbolism
A few years ago someone sent me a photo of a metal-cast plaque he had found on the wall at the house of a friend of his family’s. I no longer have the original email and I fail to recall the exact details of what the person (at whose home it was found) did for a living, but he was probably an engineer or a cyberneticist. The person who contacted me was inquiring as to whether I had seen something like this before - I hadn’t.

There’s quite the variety of symbols, culled together in a single theme. Amidst circuitry and technical specs, the owl of wisdom is present; an all-seeing eye within a downward-pointing triangle; a neuron seemingly attached to a circuit; a pentagram in some sort of feedback loop; the Panta Rhei ["everything is in a state of flux"] of Heraclitus is mentioned, and so is cybernetics founder Norbert Wiener’s Gott & Golem, Inc. [God and Golem, Inc.: A comment on certain points where Cybernetics impinges on Religion].
What does it all mean? Has anyone encountered anything similar?
Norbert Wiener had an eclectic education and was no stranger to esoteric ideas. According to Conway and Siegelman, in Dark Hero of the Information Age, Norbert Wiener’s father had trained him in “the Greek and Latin classics, followed by his favorite German poets and philosophes … Leo [his father] added Darwin, Huxley and other scientists … [Norbert] studied Leo’s books on psychiatry, the occult, and the excavation of Troy. He became an avid fan of the seminal science fiction of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne. When he had devoured the volumes on his father’s shelves, Leo fed him books and journals from the Harvard library: on physics and chemistry, the nature of light, and the strange new power of electricity” (pp. 12-3).
It’s the last subject, the strange power of electricity, that must have strengthened Wiener’s fascination with the Kabbalistic “Golem” in the myths of the Jews - a perfect metaphor for cybernetics itself. In God and Golem, Inc., or instance, he writes:
I have said that the reprobation attaching in former ages to the sin of sorcery attaches now in many minds to the speculations of modern cybernetics. For make no mistake, if but two hundred years ago a scholar had pretended to make machines that should learn to play games or that should propagate themselves, he would surely have been made to assume the sanbenito, the gown worn by the victims of the Inquisition, and have een handed over to the secular arm, with the injunction that there be no shedding of blood; surely, that is, unless he could convince some great patron that he could transmute the base metals into gold, as Rabbi Löw of Prague, who claimed that his incantations blew breath of life into the Golem of clay, had persuaded the Emperor Rudolf. For even now, if an inventor could prove to a computing-machine company that his magic could be of service to them, he would cast black spells from now till doomsday, without the least personal risk.
What is sorcery, and why is it condemned as a sin? Why is the foolish mummery ofthe Black Mass so frowned upon? (pp. 49-50)

Aha. Thanks CHaO2. The last link has allowed me to identify one of the symbols in the plaque as the “Leibniz Wheel,” or one of the gears on his “stepped reckoner.”
I’m beginning to think that the design of this plaque was a one-time commission. The elements to be incorporated were probably provided to the designer. I had originally envisioned it as belonging to some sort of scientific fraternity, and that each of its members had received their own. I’m not so sure anymore. If it were, the name of the group should be displayed somewhere. Instead, the various German words and symbols in the design are well known to those in the field of computer science or cybernetics.
The owl and the pentagram still seem out of place to me.

The owl may represent a strange owl god known as Moloch. The pentagram would naturally go along with this dark force. Check out Bohemian Grove on google and see how how this strange place attracts powerful people!

There’s no such thing as an owl god “known as Moloch.” Alex Jones made it up. It begins and ends with him. Moloch - in the few extant artistic representations - was identified with the bull. Never an owl. Never.
The Bohemian Grove have an owl in their logo alright, but the owl throughout all recorded history of mankind has been associated with wisdom: Minerva, Athena, Pallas Athene. It is in allusion to this symbolism that the Bavarian Illuminati used it in their seal, Hegel and the Hegel Society of America, the Bohemian Club, and no doubt, the cybernetic plaque as well.
The pentagram was used by the Pythagoreans, to denote geometrical and mathematical perfection.
At any rate, the plaque has purposely been semiotically infused with occult overtones. That is significant in of itself.

Sorry, history is on my side. Alex Jones doesn’t get the right to make things up whenever he pleases - and it’s exactly what he’s done. All the references you’ll cite to back up this “owl=moloch” inanity, will, without exception, ultimately trace back to Mr. Jones and company. He has mouthed the words Moloch and Owl in tandem so often, that regular folk now take it as a given. I don’t profess to know his motives for even suggesting such an absurdity as Moloch=Owl (other than ignorance), but he is the originator nonetheless; and refuses to retract.
Prove me wrong.

In I Kings 11:5-7 it talks about Milcom and Molech and a ritual known as passing through the fire, a form of sacrifice involving children. In II Kings 17:17 it tells how the people gave their children for this ceremony, but mentions two bulls, not an owl. 23:10 tells how Josiah stopped such worship and mentions Molech with reference to “pass(ing) through the fire.”
I never found a reference in the KJV to an owl.
If they call it Molech in the ceremony, it does not matter what shape the idol takes.

Right. Bible talks Molech. No owl; and certainly no owl=Molech. Furthermore, traditional symbolism for every near east mention of Moloch never associated it with an owl, either.

It’s possible. There’s an all-seeing eye in a triangle on the cover of his English-edition book, and “Gott & Golem Inc.” on the plaque is quite conspicuous and seems central to the whole theme.

the metallic plaque is a decipher tool for deciphering a cipher in a book or a letter notice the six holes in the interior of the plaque on the left side of the plaque center section that protrudes out is the handle for up down movement above and below the handle is where you would align the edge of the paper the notches on the left and right of the plaque would be used to line up with a number/letter/symbol

as you move it up or down it would show more of the cipher on the same page on the left side above handle is L F S LeFt Side ? on the right side is a arrow pointing to a T that is next to a notch move right to the T? the symbols are masonic some egyptian like the upside down egyptian cross {ankh} it was used by the gods to awakening the dead to a new life. the 4 men around the square are like sherlock holmes dancing men cipher. a enlarged detailed photo would be helpful. The Owl god goes back to the Egyptians and you will find it on some of their Cartouche’s Also another interesting point is the owl is found on the front of the U.S. One dollar bill. Top right and to the left of the one. Very small use a magnifying glass.

The best works of art contain an enormous amount of symbolism (and symbolism wrapped in symbolism) - it’s the nature of the game. And further, it is that way on purpose; you are supposed to read “more into it.” This is one area in which it is not only warranted, but required!

This is just a really interesting piece of art. The names on the bottom are famous scientists throughout history, and next to them are their birth and death years. I see DNA being split on the upper right. The square with lines accross it were from a junior high biology book and represent X and Y chromosomes and how they are passed from parents to child. In German is writtin that technology is the salvation of man. Gott und Golem Inc means God and Robot incorporated. I am not a real follower of art, but there was a whole movement in the 30’s and 40’s in Germany, Austria, and parts of America called German Industrial Art. There is a modern Welsh artist named Elizabeth Lewis that does similar stuff. There was a very famous German Artist that made real bizzare stuff like this, and I have seen some of it somewhere, but cannot remember his name. I would suggest that the symbols on their own mean something, but are just a collection of shapes and symbols by an artist, representing science and technology throughout the ages.

Nearest I can tell this is about cybernetics. The german on the top left starts as follows…. “cybernetics is the spirit of the technology.” I can’t get babelfish to make any more sense of it beyond ending in “humans” or “the humans”.
My impression of this is one of the use of wisdom to combine the living with machine. The tree of life with what appears to be some kind of machine behind it, dna, programme, the trail and error thing, the all seeing eye.. etc etc… lead me to believe this has something to do with man using magic and machine to achieve eternal life and god like status.
What the heck do I know…? Was your friend a nazi or something? This seems to fall into line with a good deal of theosophical teachings, which tell of a merging of occult knowledge, science, and magic to bring about an enlightened state of mankind that will only hen be prepared for it’s ascended master type savior.
They even discuss how a New World Order must emerge to prepare for a second world order that will be ruled over by this savior, god… also referred to by Blavatsky as Lucifer.
Makes me wonder about microchip implants and what’s really going to come on line with the CERN Grid. I’ve mentioned in several podcasts that I’m pretty convinced that science stands prepared to use chip implants to sync man and machine. “The Mark” may not just be a means of commerce and id, but may also serve as an interface to the coming beast machine.
We know what the Nazis were doing with the IBM punch cards and the tats they put on the Jews. God only knows what they were really up to and how much of that came back to the US along with the scientists we imported after the war in “Paperclip”.

The Owl is mentioned in the Reformation Bible. It is an unclean fowl, a bird of prey.
Lev. 11:13 And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination:…………

Occultists are members of ‘death cults’ ,committed to all things unclean, hidden, secret and dark, which is of the fallen angel, Lucifer. It is this reason they worship this idol. What you must understand is these minions of the devil bow to creation, the unclean and consider their god, ‘the wronged’ one, who is in battle with The God of Creation. They hate The God of the AV1611.
Look for this tiny owl huddled between ‘hash marks’ in the upper right hand corner above the numeral ‘1′ on a worthless Federal Reserve Note (Mammon), tiny outlines behind the numeral, street patterns in Washington DC. ‘Nuff said’.

Just wanted to mention this… The new Zeitgeist film features and is seemingly dedicated to a man named Jacque Fresco. He is the man behind the Venus Project. It’s been my belief for a while now that Peter Joesph and most of those behind ZG are Mystery School Initiates and more specifically Theosophists.
Fresco’s Venus project is in Venus Florida. Venus is synonymous with the old Testament name Lucifer.
Now, what does this have to do with the cybernetic/mystical symbol above? Please reread my initial post and then read the following taken from a PDF file on the Venus Project’s home page enitled, Imagining the Cybernetic City: The Venus Project.
Having identified today’s problems as technical in nature it is not surprising that Fresco foresees a cybernated society where as ‘AI develops, machines will be assigned the tasks of complex decision-making in industrial, military and governmental affairs … This would not imply a take-over by machines’ (Ibidem 56).9
It won’t be a take-over because, as it is already argued – at various degrees of alarm and/or approval – within contemporary post-humanist discourse, ‘the division between living bodies and technology is increasingly difficult to maintain’ and ‘we are well on our way to becoming machinic’ (Armitage 1999, 2)10. Besides the obvious, that this type of communal living is based completely on socialism… ask yourself about the timing of this film with the economic turmoil of the hour. Ask yourself why PT1 of ZG attacking Christianity is exactly the same thing that Bill Cooper exposed as the teachings of the Mystery Schools before he was killed.

Don’t believe that everyone exposing the NWO is fighting on the right side of things. The NWO we’ve had revealed to us is the scapegoat for the coming NWO which will be billed as the kingdom of God.

There’s much more to Fresco than just a man that hates commercialism… then again, he charges a hundred bucks for a photo of one of his egg carton like homes, or space ages robo-builders.
Looks to me this “thing” shows a link between cybernetics and occultism that shouldn’t be overlooked. Especially when the core of Theosophy teaches that through science and technology the god of this world will be able to manifest. Their god, is named for Venus… and his name is Lucifer.

The owl represents wisdom, as was already stated. The illuminati, Freemasons, Shriners, etc. all worship Lucifer because he is the god of wisdom/reason. He is the ultimate “rebel against God” because he allows man to stop living in fear of God and start using reason over faith. This isn’t to say that these secret societies worship the devil, because they know the devil doesn’t exist. Any ceremonies these societies perform that seem “satanic” is not actually worshipping a devil, because what they worship is reason. In fact, the ceremonies are mocking the majority of the population who do believe in the devil, because the earliest masons and members of freemasonry (said to be in and around the times of ancient Babylon) created these stories to make those who did not know the truth (or have the light) live in fear. This is the secret of the Freemasons and all other secret societies. They have gone as far as to deify the human mind. Lucifer in latin literally translates to “bringer/bearer of light” and by light they mean widsom/intelligence/reason. The Illuminati are the illuminated ones, Freemasons claim to be “enlightened”, the statue of liberty which was a gift from French Freemasons holds a torch…these are all easily recognizable signs. The ones with the light/knowledge/truth keep it a secret through symbolism, and use it against the majority to control them. All major institutions of our time (religion, education, the monetary system, etc.) have been put in place to control the masses and conceal the secret.

In Judaism the owl symbolizes blindness, and according to the Talmud it is an ill omen in dreams. Even though the curators of Bohemian Grove claim their statue is of an Owl, it is nevertheless, an Idol, and regardless, to me, it does look like some kind of horned demon. Especially in their little ceremony, at night, with men in robes and fire all around. Sickening to say the least.

Has anyone noticed the sun disc eminating rays in the top centre of the plaque? This sun disc was the central feature in the art and religion of the Egyptian “heretic pharoah” Akenaten. (King Tut’s father).
As far as i know, Akenaten was one of the first recorded monotheists. Having deserted the capitol city of Thebes and the polytheistic religion of Egypt, he settled in Amarna and began the cult of the Aten (sun disc)
Another Egyptian influence is the upside down Egyptian cross held in the hand of one of the sun’s rays.
Not sure what any of it means on the plaque though. If u just search “art of akenaten” and look at the image results there should be loads of pictures of the sun disc or Egyptian crosses.

Well… cybernetics makes SO much sense that MOST of the old beliefs. It gives us a reason on why the world is like it is. I would say… goodbye Kabalahh, hello Cybernetics!
Just to make a point … Cybernetics might be in the heart of technology… but is not limited to machines… It gaves us a brigde tu unificate “real” and artificial life. From an ant, to a city, from a plow to a computer.

Just to add… there is NOTHING HIDDEN in cybernetics. Just read “Introduction to Cybernetics” by Ross Ashby, so, there is no “cybernetic occult symbolism” at all.
Anyway, it is a nice plaque… but for me, is a lame intent to give “occult knowledge” a better grip to reality.
That is not saying that all “occult symbolism” is crap. The motto “as above so below” is still true even today, SPECIALLY when talking about cybernetics. Stafford Beer’s ‘Viable System Model’ base its modelling algorithm in this fact. (as a side note, he used to practice yoga meditation).

i stumbled upon ur site while doing research upon many things………;) i have just started illuminating letters its quite hard,but to follow on a earlier conversation on here mentioning mogal./mogul….something like thet anyway goodness have none of u seen the spiderwick chronicles . . . .he can be created in any form ……of our visual perception ,usually what we least expect. you may think yeah whateva, but i learnt to read ………from a very early age ,so we shall see,but in the mean time i have something round ish to unraveil.

After a quick glimpse at this Shield!…. I believe this to be nothing more than a story of the trails and tribulations of man! Everything is there from the gene trait factor, to how nature takes back all regardless! Hell I’m pretty sure that’s an equation from harmonics down low, and the exploration wheel in the middle look. JHB means John Fredrik Kennedy, there is described hardware level computer virus.
Owl is a winged predator.
Satellite field indicator, Third eye. Black Arts refer to “book of the dead” called Necronomicon Avon books paperpack version, which is really a story of final fight with “good” old poor losers.
Orbitals Snivilization is a clue and somewhat a start.
And Necronomicons book of Gates also refers to that as does book called Inner Temple of Whitchcraft as a Californian Store circle about a topic of Urban Voodoo.

You can’t seriously believe I’m stupid enough to know what’s going on.
The ZeitGeist as you you have been taught us a lie.
I am not against monetary system. I’m against the fact that humans are treated like shit by those with EXTREME GREED that make the world poor. Americans are eating big macs while people are working blood sweat and tears for a few grips of cash.
I am against America being a society where convenience store owners are shot to death for a few grips of cash.
I am against United States coorporations raping profits from using ideas as infrastructure, procuring labor from Asia and other poor countries while they are unable to produce a product without Japanese parts, and cheap Chinese labor.
The source of this problem is companies like Oracle, Google, and their corporate governance. All the funny money America has outrageously ripped off of far more productive companies, then embedding technology to further rape them of wealth, constant surveilance, robbing basic freedoms, war profiteering has pissed me off. THIS IS ZEITGEIST.
