On his PBS Journal Show last night, Bill Moyers delivered a poignant essay on Israel/Gaza (video below). The whole segment is worth watching — it begins with coverage of a mostly ignored anti-war march this week in Washington (while media hordes, down the street, fixated on the Roland Burris circus) — but Moyers’ essay begins at roughly the 2:20 mark.

March of the dead? What about all the innocent Israeli’s killed? Did they carry the names of all the Israeli’s killed by Hamas, of course not. And when it comes to the war in Gaza, Moyers said it just right “Israel did exactly what Hamas wanted.” Maybe then in the future they’ll be more carefull what they ask for. But you Bill, comparing Israel to the terrorists that attack them on the daily basis for no reason what ever; You Mr. Moyers are way off base on that. And I for instance would like you to come on and take it back. You know better, Bill, you know much better. And when it comes to the world becoming more anti-semetic by the day. You are right on that, but to be perfectly honest you, Bill are not helping istead making it worse by your broadcast and others like it. And did I just hear you excuse it, the anti-semitism going on in Europe that is, by calling Israel a terrorist state? You did, Bill. Time to retire all together, I think Bill. Wouldn’t miss you for a single day, now that’s the truth.

you really should get your facts straight before you confirm your ignorace to the world
Firstly, The West illegally installed the State of Israel upon Palestinian land in 1947, displacing a MILLION Palestinians who had lived there from father to son for the last 2,000 yrs or more
Israel illegally occupies 43% of Palestinian land outside of Israel since 1967
The United Nations Security Council has tabled and mandated 30 resolutions for Israel to GET OUT - Israel, with the blessing of the United States simply ignores them
The United States has vetoed another 30 tabled U.N. Security Council resolutions for Israel to GET OUT
what the heck are the Palestinians supposed to do to get their invaders to leave?? shoot flowers at them???
