“Father of the Amero” Herbert Grubel speaks about a common North American currency
This is a scene from a new documentary I am producing by director Bryan Law.
The Father of the Amero, Professor Herbert Grubel speaks about his 1999 publication, “The Case for the Amero” and talks about the economic benefits of having a common North American currency. He also speaks about a necessary catalyzing event required, in order to have political change which could bring about a monetary union. (Source)

Professor Herbert Grubel has it wrong.
Canada can be successful by taking advantage of currency differences. Smart companies will innovate and grow when they have a competitive advantage - whether it is currency, technology, labour etc. These companies stay ahead of currency changes.
Mismanaged companies will wither no matter what advantage they have.
As for the shocks on the Canadian dollar from high oil demand and the effect on current rates…simple…when demand increases…accept payment in U.S. dollars, Euros and invest them in other countries assets…take the pressure off the Canadian dollar. Set up our own Sovereign Fund to manage our currency and wealth.
And as for the crisis the professor hints at…I think we are living it…next year should be quite interesting as the U.S dollar probably collapses…and so does the Canadian economy since we are so tied to the U.S. marketplace. Our dollar will probably decline more than the U.S. against world currencies as demand for our dollar evaporates. Presto…solution…Amero!

It never ceases to amaze me that people cannot see where all these things are headed. Professor Grubel is one of these. 9-11, the “War on Terror,” the U.S. attacks on Iraq and Afghanistan, the global imposition of draconian security measures, the dramatic increase of surveillance, the erosion of civil liberties, the debasement of human rights and just treatment of prisoners, the Georgian crisis, the sabre-rattling between the West and Russia, the collapse of the world economy . . . all these things, ALL of them, are steps toward a world totalitarian state that will make all the other dictatorships in history pale in comparison. The Amero is obviously another of these steps, as is the North American Union, and all of it has been predicted for decades. Yet, people don’t see it — CAN’T see it! It’s astonishing.

I commend these guys for getting this interview. In time, unfortunately, it will prove to be historic - they will probably get what they want.
Did you see how Gruber’s face lit up as soon as Previs of Jeffries International was mentioned?
