Geithner ‘open’ to China’s “replacing the dollar as the dominant world currency” proposal

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Geithner (CFR, Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg) had a little talk with his elite buddies at the Council on Foreign Relations.

He was specifically asked about China’s central bank governor, Zhou Xiaochuan, and his proposal.

Listen to the adjectives Geithner uses to describe the communist money-man from China: “Remarkable … thoughtful, very careful, distinguished central banker. … I have tremendous respect for him…”

Is it a surprise then - given Geithner’s own subservience to the group - that Xiaochuan is listed as a member of the Trilateral Commission (2003 and 2004)?

Brian Gerrish on Edge Media TV

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Brian Gerrish, is a former naval officer and anti-submarine warfare expert, who, together with colleagues throughout the country, has conducted detailed research into ‘Common Purpose’, a mysterious collective which seeks to by-pass the British democratic system by setting up unelected quangoes with extreme European federalist agendas. According to Gerrish, there is now almost no strata of the BBC, NHS, local government, police forces, regional structures, armed forces, government departments, communications media and industry, which has not in some way been infiltrated or influenced by Common Purpose and other related initiatives designed to weaken British sovereignty and increase outside control.

Brian Gerrish states: ‘The power of the state has grown dramatically in the last ten years. Spending on Quangoes is now five times greater than the defence budget. To whom or what is this new army of officials loyal? Is there a common ideology driving the transformation of the police forces, public services, local councils, public/private partnerships and other agencies, many of whose officers are members of the ‘Common Purpose’ organisation?’

The killing times are here: population policy

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Anthony Nolan - March 25, 2009

Garrett Hardin is a spokesperson for a particular environmental perspective that has been profoundly influenced by liberalism and especially by that form of liberalism under the sway of the Rev. Malthus. Hardin’s work is neither philosophy, history, politics, nor science, and therein is the problem. Hardin’s work is historically uninformed and this ignorance has led him to significantly misrepresent the nature of the problem. This is nowhere more obvious than in his thesis of what he terms “the tragedy of the commons”, as well as his 1968 article of the same name.

Deep Ecology Misanthropy Moving Into Mainstream Environmentalism

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Wesley Smith - Tuesday, March 24, 2009

Deep Ecology is a neo earth religion, the ideology of which holds that nature should be given equal consideration with people–a concept sometimes called ecological egalitarianism. The explicit rejection of human exceptionalism led adherents into a profound nihilism and anti-humanism in which deep ecologists yearn for a radical human depopulation to under 1 billion.

Profiling and Criminalizing Political Dissent

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

A recent report issued through the Missouri State Highway Patrol is stirring alarm among citizens and some elected officials that Christians, political conservatives, and opponents of unconstitutional government action are being targeted for intimidation and harassment — or worse. The drafters of the report clearly are attempting to create in the minds of law-enforcement personnel an association between violent “right-wing extremists” and the millions of law-abiding Americans who oppose gun control, the United Nations, the Federal Reserve System, the income tax, illegal immigration, and abortion.

The eight-page report entitled “The Modern Militia Movement” and dated February 20 also specifically mentions by name Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas), who ran for president in the 2008 Republican Party primaries, and third-party candidates Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin. The clear implication is that people sporting bumper stickers or literature related to these candidates should be viewed as potential threats that view all law enforcement as “the enemy.”

After listing 18 incidents of “noteworthy militia activity” from 1995 through 2008, some of which involved bombings or armed confrontations with law enforcement, the report states:

You are the Enemy: The militia subscribes to an antigovernment and NWO [New World Order] mind set, which creates a threat to law enforcement officers. They view the military, National Guard, and law enforcement as a force that will confiscate their firearms and place them in FEMA concentration camps. (Bold emphasis in original.)

The Big Takeover

The global economic crisis isn’t about money - it’s about power. How Wall Street insiders are using the bailout to stage a revolution

MATT TAIBBI - Mar 19, 2009

It’s over — we’re officially, royally fucked. no empire can survive being rendered a permanent laughingstock, which is what happened as of a few weeks ago, when the buffoons who have been running things in this country finally went one step too far. It happened when Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was forced to admit that he was once again going to have to stuff billions of taxpayer dollars into a dying insurance giant called AIG, itself a profound symbol of our national decline — a corporation that got rich insuring the concrete and steel of American industry in the country’s heyday, only to destroy itself chasing phantom fortunes at the Wall Street card tables, like a dissolute nobleman gambling away the family estate in the waning days of the British Empire.

The latest bailout came as AIG admitted to having just posted the largest quarterly loss in American corporate history — some $61.7 billion. In the final three months of last year, the company lost more than $27 million every hour. That’s $465,000 a minute, a yearly income for a median American household every six seconds, roughly $7,750 a second. And all this happened at the end of eight straight years that America devoted to frantically chasing the shadow of a terrorist threat to no avail, eight years spent stopping every citizen at every airport to search every purse, bag, crotch and briefcase for juice boxes and explosive tubes of toothpaste. Yet in the end, our government had no mechanism for searching the balance sheets of companies that held life-or-death power over our society and was unable to spot holes in the national economy the size of Libya (whose entire GDP last year was smaller than AIG’s 2008 losses).

Obama and the New Age:

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

By Dennis L. Cuddy, Ph.D.

NewsWithViews.com

In “One On One: Regulating the Pursuit of Self” (Jerusalem Post, February 4, 2009), Amitai Etzioni states: “There is no philosophy that better describes Obama’s position than Communitarianism,” which Etzioni defines as a term “that would speak for community and the common good.” (In his March 4, 1801 inaugural address, while referring to majority rule and minority rights, Thomas Jefferson was the first president to refer to the “common good.”) Interestingly, Etzioni in his The Essential Communitarian Reader (p. ix) said the term was coined in 1841 by John Goodwyn Barmby, who founded the Universal Communitarian Association (originally called the Communist Propaganda Society). In Dana Milbank’s “Needed: Catchword for Bush Ideology; ‘Communitarianism’ Finds Favor” (The Washington Post, February 1, 2001), Etzioni was quoted as saying George W. Bush’s Inaugural Address was “a Communitarian Text.”

As I’ve mentioned numerous times before, the Power Elite (PE) uses crises to move us toward its ultimate goal of a World Socialist Government. The current global economic crisis is devaluing currencies so that the people of the world will be forced to accept regional currencies and then a global currency, which is an important part of the PE’s plan. …

Join the “Quiet Revolution”

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

March 21,2009

We sure hear a lot of talk about revolution these days. There’s the Ron Paul Revolution, the Revolution Against Evolution, the Revolution of Change, the Internet Revolution, the Carbon Revolution, the Green Revolution, the Obama Revolution, the Alex Jones Revolution Against the New World Order, and the Jesus Revolution. It’s too bad we don’t hear more about the Quiet Revolution. This is the global-to-local policing revolution, and it’s getting quietly stronger every day.

“In the U.S. community policing originated as a “quiet revolution” seeking recognition in the 70s (Kelling, 1988; Greene, 1989) and has since become a tour de force to be reckoned with in the 90s. (Bayley and Sheering, 1997; Rosenbaum, 1994; Cordner, 1989). ” Community Policing in China: Continuity and Change, by Kam C. Wong, 2000 http://www.polizei-newsletter.de/documents/Community_PolicinginChWong.pdf.

The tactics for the new paradigm shift in domestic policing began in urban ghettos and HUD projects in the 70s. HUD employees wrote and published The Broken Window Theory. It was used by the community cops to test “innovative strategies of enforcement.” Part of HUD’s untested theory was that poor neighborhoods and the people in them are the cause of “full blown fear.” According to Kelling, this happens when there are old houses and unlit streets and yards, which creates an atmosphere of “feeling that nobody’s in charge and nobody cares.”

Soldier says rabbis pushed “religious war” in Gaza

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

JERUSALEM, March 20 (Reuters) - Rabbis in the Israeli army told battlefield troops in January’s Gaza offensive they were fighting a “religious war” against gentiles, according to one army commander’s account published on Friday.

“Their message was very clear: we are the Jewish people, we came to this land by a miracle, God brought us back to this land and now we need to fight to expel the gentiles who are interfering with our conquest of this holy land,” he said.

The account by Ram, a pseudonym to shield the soldier’s identity, was published by the left-leaning Haaretz newspaper in the second day of revelations that have rocked the Israeli military. (www.haaretz.com “Shooting and Crying, 2009″).

They were leaked from a Feb 13 meeting of armed forces members to share their Gaza experiences.

Full-Spectrum Penetration: Israeli Spying in the United States

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Christopher Ketcham - March 12 , 2009

Scratch a counterintelligence officer in the U.S. government and they’ll tell you that Israel is not a friend to the United States. This is because Israel runs one of the most aggressive and damaging espionage networks targeting the U.S..

The fact of Israeli penetration into the country is not a subject oft-discussed in the media or in the circles of governance, due to the extreme sensitivity of the U.S.-Israel relationship coupled with the burden of the Israel lobby, which punishes legislators who dare to criticize the Jewish state. The void where the facts should sit is filled instead with the hallucinations of conspiracy theory — the kind in which, for example, agents of the Mossad, Israel’s top intelligence agency, engineer the 9/11 attacks, while 4,000 Israelis in the Twin Towers somehow all get word to escape before the planes hit. The effect, as disturbing as it is ironic, is that the less the truth is addressed, the more noxious the falsity that spreads.

Israel’s spying on the U.S., however, is a matter of public record, and neither conspiracy nor theory is needed to present the evidence. When the FBI produces its annual report to Congress concerning “Foreign Economic Collection and Industrial Espionage,” Israel and its intelligence services often feature prominently as a threat second only to China. In 2005 the FBI noted, for example, that Israel maintains “an active program to gather proprietary information within the United States.” A key Israeli method, said the FBI report, is computer intrusion. In 1996, the Defense Intelligence Service, a branch of the Pentagon, issued a warning that “the collection of scientific intelligence in the United States [is] the third highest priority of Israeli Intelligence after information on its Arab neighbors and information on secret U.S. policies or decisions relating to Israel.”

Bernie Madoff, “Mini M,” & Mohamed Atta

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Daniel Hopsicker - March 20 2009

Another owner of the flight school in Venice Florida that trained Mohamed Atta and Marwan Al-Shehhi to fly is in trouble with the law; current owner Arthur G. Nadel, 75, was arrested recently for running a Ponzi scheme which methodically looted investors in his Sarasota-based hedge funds of more than $300 million.

Nadel’s arrest marks the second time in recent years that the owner of Huffman Aviation, the FBO (fixed base of operations) at the Venice Airport has been involved in crimes traditionally associated with the Mob.

Ponzi schemes, of course, are a trademark Mafia specialty. So, too, is the crime of heroin trafficking in which previous owner Wally Hilliard was implicated.

The Bush Family of Secrets: Truth or Reconciliation?

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Russ Baker - 18 March 2009

They are really coming. Official investigations of the George W. Bush administration are on the way. Karl Rove and Harriet Miers have just agreed to limited testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, which is looking into the seemingly politically-motivated firings of seven U.S. Attorneys. Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers and Patrick Leahy, his senate counterpart, have additional potential improprieties in their sights, and they are not alone. The Senate Intelligence Committee has already declared its intent to scrutinize CIA practices related to terrorism suspects. And that’s just for starters. We may soon become accustomed to powerful figures squirming as cameras flash, being asked about everything from war to Wall Street.

Politicians will appear heroic. The media will get a hot story they won’t have to do a bit of digging for. And the rest of us? Some insight, perhaps, into the power-grabbing, lies and greed of the last eight years.

Military Laser Hits Battlefield Strength

Thursday, March 19th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Huge news for real-life ray guns: Electric lasers have hit battlefield strength for the first time — paving the way for energy weapons to go to war.

Noah Shachtman - March 18, 2009

In recent test-blasts, Pentagon-researchers at Northrop Grumman managed to get its 105 kilowatts of power out of their laser — past the “100kW threshold
[that] has been viewed traditionally as a proof of principle for ‘weapons
grade’ power levels for high-energy lasers,” Northrop’s vice president
of directed energy systems, Dan Wildt, said in a statement.

That much power won’t get you a Star Wars-style blaster. But it should be more than enough to zap the mortars and rockets that insurgents have used to pound American bases in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A Heretic Is Punished in Washington

Thursday, March 19th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Eric Margolis - March 17, 2009

The White House publicly humiliated US National Intelligence Director, Adm. Dennis Blair last week by forcing him to cancel appointing veteran diplomat Charles W. Freeman Jr. as the chairman of the National Intelligence Council, one of the nation’s most important national security posts.

The National Intelligence Council chairman’s job is to assemble all reports from America’s 16 intelligence agencies and produce a synthesis upon which the president make national security policy.

A former ambassador to Saudi Arabia and respected Mideast and China expert, Freeman had the audacity to previously say, “left to its own devices, the Israeli establishment will make decisions that harm Israelis, threaten all associated with them, and enrage those who are not.”

Freeman has criticized Israel’s actions on other occasions. He committed the ultimate heresy of warning that close US collaboration with Israel’s right-wing parties was jeopardizing American interests and security, and generating anti-American terrorism.
