I was reading in a Discover Magazine article “When Will the Bubble Burst” about methane gas. The article discussed the possible reason for the extinction of the dinosaurs being related to a very large methane gas “Burp” that released methane gas into the atmosphere and then ignited. If more methane gas is extracted from the ground and used then there is a smaller proability that another such methane “Burp” will happen again.

Whats the big deal with the second coming of the methan “Burp”? If such a “Burp” that caused the extinction of the dinosaurs occurs now….pretty much most of the human population surrounding the “Burp” will be consumed by fire…….perhaps this is the warning that is attached to the end of Mayan Calendar. That a second methan burp is going to occur somewhere in the world within a two week time range of Dec. 21, 2012.

So lets get out there and start extracting the methane as fast as we can to keep the “Second Coming of the Methane Burp.” from happening.
