A whole host of studies and articles that I looked at from 2001 to 2002 finally made me throw out the microwave. One of them was this: The Hidden Hazards Of Microwave Cooking

Good stuff. Thanks for posting this. I never thought about the obvious fact that a microwave would cause chemical reactions...duh.

I stopped using microwaves about 7 years ago. Besides the fact that it turns your food into carcinogenic Frankenfood (from the inside out), one of the reasons I stopped using them was because plastic is known to leach out it's chemicals, especially when heated. What I didn't know at the time though, was that a lot of the plastic mimics estrogen. I also didn't know that plastic was used as a liner in cans.

In never ceases to amaze me how the human species seems to have a natural proclivity toward self destruction. Why can't the manufacturers of these chemicals realize that when they coerce the FDA and other such agencies to allow these substances, they endanger themselves and their children as well? Do they go back to their lairs and pat themselves on the back?! It's pathological.

Thanks and you might want to visit: ourdoodah.com because we do an in-depth look at the chemicals off-gassed such as Badge and pathalytes just to name a few. And don't forget soft plastic wraps around cheese, meat, deli-products. It's totally maddening and Europe is light years ahead of us in this arena.
It's no wonder folks are so ill with this and that.
