MSM Reporters Are Now “Conspiracists”

Monday, April 6th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

In a March 26th report for Haaretz, Adam Abrams defines the new world order:

What does “new world order” mean? There are two distinct variations. Both expressions - a new period of history evidencing a dramatic change in world political thought and the balance of power and the advent of a cryptocratic or totalitarian world government - have relevance.

The global geopolitical climate is changing rapidly and appears to be on the verge of a realignment. This has become more apparent since the start of the world financial crisis, which finds its roots in the U.S. economic downturn.

So how would a new world order emerge? It seems that the global population would only be willing to accept the implementation of a new world order, in either form, in the event of a major global crisis, such as the complete economic collapse of the United States of America.

Which one we get, however (”a new period of history” or “cryptocratic or totalitarian world government”) is entirely up to the string-pullers. More ominously: both definitions aren’t exactly mutually exclusive, are they?

A secret society?

Monday, March 16th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Its critics say it is a secret networking organisation at the heart of the establishment, with a hidden agenda and influence.

Ruth Alexander - 8 March 2009

More than 20,000 people - identified as the next generation of leaders - have attended its courses, but if you are not one of them, you have probably never heard of it.

It is called Common Purpose and prominent supporters include BBC business editor Robert Peston, Assistant Deputy Commissioner Cressida Dick of the Metropolitan Police and numerous top public sector officials.

It’s a not-for-profit organisation which organises training and networking events for high-fliers.

Connections

Its website says “Common Purpose gives leaders the inspiration, the knowledge and the connections they need to produce real change - in their workplaces and in their communities.”

According to one Common Purpose “graduate” who spoke to the BBC, Common Purpose’s activities seem innocent enough: delegates attend a week-long residential course, where the emphasis is on personal development and making new contacts.

She said delegates were encouraged to identify their strengths and weaknesses and were taken on outings to a mental hospital, a prison, a local tenants’ association and the City.

But former naval officer Brian Gerrish, who leads a campaign against Common Purpose, says: “It’s a secret society for careerists. The key point is that the networking is done out of sight of the general public.

New center revives North America agenda

Monday, March 16th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Jerome R. Corsi - March 10, 2009

Arizona State University has created a new trilateral research center to advance the continuing globalist agenda to integrate the United States, Mexico and Canada into a North American configuration.

The North American Center for Transborder Studies, or NACTS, makes clear that while North American integration advocates may have backed off promoting the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America as their vehicle to create a North American Union, the globalist effort to integrate North America economically and politically continues under different names.

NACTS Director Rick Van Schoik held a press conference Feb. 10 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., to appeal directly to President Obama to utilize his first foreign presidential trip, to meet with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, “to strengthen U.S. partnerships with its neighbors on challenges ranging from border security and environmental protection.”

Prominent among members of the NACTS Board of Advisors is Robert A. Pastor, who for more than a decade has called for the creation of a North American Community, which would include a central bank to manage a new currency, the amero, to replace the dollar.

SPP: Updating the Militarization and Annexation of North America

Monday, March 16th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Stephen Lendman - March 13, 2009

The title refers to the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP), also known as the North American Union - formerly launched at a March 23, 2005 Waco, Texas meeting attended by George Bush, Mexico’s President Vincente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin. It’s for a tri-national agreement, below the radar, for greater economic, political, and security integration with secret business and government working groups devising binding policies with no public knowledge or legislative debate.

In short, it’s a military-backed corporate coup d’etat against the sovereignty of three nations, their populations and legislative bodies. It’s a dagger through the heart of democratic freedom in all three, yet the public is largely unaware of what’s happening.

Last April, New Orleans hosted the last SPP summit. Ever since, progress may have stalled given the gravity of the global economic crisis and top priority need to address it. Nonetheless, what’s known to date is updated below plus some related information.

SXSW: New World Order Illuminates Conspiracy Theorists

Monday, March 16th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Lewis Wallace - March 14, 2009

You’ve probably heard the conspiracy theories — the Bilderberg Group secretly runs the world, 9/11 was an inside job, a group of elites is working to establish a “new world order.”

The documentary New World Order, which had its world premiere Friday at the South by Southwest film festival, offers an inside look at the people who dedicate their lives to investigating and spreading the word about such conspiracy theories.

SXSW_2009The 83-minute movie, by directors Luke Meyer and Andrew Neel, who worked together on 2006’s Darkon, focuses chiefly on Alex Jones (pictured), a documentary filmmaker and talk-radio host with a loud voice, an urgent message and, many times, a bullhorn in hand.

Jones, whose movies include such dire polemics as Endgame: Blueprint for Global Enslavement and Dark Secrets: Inside Bohemian Grove, certainly seems sincere enough as he tries to shine a light on the annual Bilderberg meeting, where world leaders meet in secret to talk about … something.

Bernanke Maintains Cautiously Optimistic Tone

Monday, March 9th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Mose Farber - March 9, 2009

As the state of the declining global economy worsens, the world turns to the American economic powerhouse for direction. With the Obama administration’s promises of recovery, transparency and accountability for the economy, much of the burden falls onto the shoulders of the Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. The Fed, which sets the nation’s monetary policy and regulates banks, is immersed in trying to keep the U.S. financial system from cratering.

Today, Bernanke attended President Obama’s daily economic briefing to work on solving the increasing array of economic problems, and tomorrow he will set out his plan for regulating the banks in a speech at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Global Television for Our Future Global Leader

Friday, February 13th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

February 9, 2009
By Cliff Kincaid

urprise and even shock were among the reactions to my recent column about how elite members of the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Switzerland, were considering a proposal for a new global television network to usher in a state of “global governance.” It sounded authoritarian, even totalitarian, to some.

Here are more of the troubling details.

The media proposal, which was included in “The Global Agenda 2009″ report, is to create “a new global network” with “the capacity to connect the world, bridging cultures and peoples, and telling us who we are and what we mean to each other.” Several prominent U.S. media figures signed on to the alarming and controversial proposal.

Isn’t it nice that we might have a TV network telling us “who we are?” And “what we mean to each other?” Perhaps we will learn that we are global citizens. Perhaps a global leader of some sort will tell us that. Who might that be?

This outlandish and frightening proposal doesn’t come from a fringe organization. The WEF is an exclusive club of very rich and powerful people from around the world. It describes itself as “an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging leaders in partnerships to shape global, regional and industry agendas.”

This year’s conference featured speeches by U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Chinese Premier We Jiabao. Many U.S. corporations, including some getting Wall Street bailout money, were sponsors. News Corporation, the parent of Fox News, was a “strategic partner” of the event.

NWO destroys old liberties

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Adam Brown - 2/2/09

Have you heard the “conspiracy” that a few powerful people control the world? Well there’s some truth in that fiction. Since 1954 the Bilderberg Group has been meeting in secrecy planning the future of the world according to Daniel Estulin’s book, “The True Story of The Bilderberg Group.” What are they after, you might be asking? Complete globalization of the entire world, where only the elite can have a say in what transpires.

What are some of the effects of globalization? The end of individual national sovereignty, integration of economies and dozens more. The article “North American Union to Replace USA” by Jerome Corse reports plans for a North American Union where the U.S., Canada and Mexico are united by trade laws and corporate greed, not human need. Not surprisingly enough, there is little to no Congressional oversight or knowledge of what is being carried out or attempted. By globalizing and not localizing political decisions, our elected representatives and the American people are not having a say in the future of America.

CFR Paul Kennedy: New world order will emerge in 2009

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Paul Kennedy - 01/05/2009

Every so often in the history of international affairs, a great transnational turbulence shakes the foundations of the world and brings many of its older structures tumbling to the ground, as we witnessed in 1919, 1945 and 1989. In the confusion and babble that follow, it’s difficult to see through the dust and recognize the shape of the altered strategic landscape.

A new international agenda

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 - by Terry Melanson

Mikhail Gorbachev - January 1, 2009

The year 2008 has been indelibly marked by the global financial crisis. No one predicted its outbreak or its scale; I don’t think anyone knows when and how it might end.

It is already clear that initial reassuring statements about it were irresponsible. In the coming months, the world, and world politics, will be severely tested.

Searching for ways out of the crisis will be a difficult, agonizing process. Not all early efforts were effective. This first failure in the functioning of our fully globalized world caught us by surprise, largely unprepared.

As I read the reports from the July Group of 8 summit meeting in Japan, it is amazing that just a couple months before the crisis erupted, world leaders seemed unaware of warning tremors. The summit was a routine gathering. Its very format - the way it was prepared and conducted - seems outdated. We need a new vision of global political leadership, a new willingness to work together in this globalized world. Politicians are lagging behind the events.

“Earth Emperor”: In the Minds of Men: Darwin and the New World Order by Ian T. Taylor

Sunday, December 21st, 2008 - by Terry Melanson

I wanted to learn how a lot of people can be manipulated into one religion, like creationism, and then when that’s of no use anymore you manipulate them into believing in another religion, which has a “Big Bang” and “primordial soup”.

So the librarian recommended me a book. What’s cool is that Mikhail Gorbachev and the presidential adviser, Jacques Attali, used the words “new world order” in their books and this book has it on the title, which is pretty cool. It’s In the Minds of Men : Darwin and the New World Order by Ian T. Taylor.

“Father of the Amero” Herbert Grubel speaks about a common North American currency

Saturday, December 13th, 2008 - by Terry Melanson

This is a scene from a new documentary I am producing by director Bryan Law.
The Father of the Amero, Professor Herbert Grubel speaks about his 1999 publication, “The Case for the Amero” and talks about the economic benefits of having a common North American currency. He also speaks about a necessary catalyzing event required, in order to have political change which could bring about a monetary union. (Source)

Time: Obama’s New World Order

Friday, December 5th, 2008 - by Terry Melanson

It was hard to miss the message that Barack Obama was sending with the powerful tableau lined up behind him onstage in Chicago. “I assembled this team because I’m a strong believer in strong personalities and strong opinions,” the President-elect said of his national-security picks. The top three members of that team certainly fit the description. In Hillary Clinton, Obama is getting a Secretary of State who battled him to the bitter end of a Democratic primary season focused largely on the question of who was better equipped to be Commander in Chief. In bringing in retired Marine general James Jones as his National Security Adviser and retaining Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Obama is turning to two men who might have seemed more obvious choices had John McCain won the White House. And all three were on the opposite side from Obama on the defining foreign policy decision of the past decade: whether to invade Iraq.
