    I notice that the vast majority of confirmed Illuminati members were born in either the 1740s or 1750s. That is perhaps about the expected age range of people who would have bene students at Ingolstadt University when Adam was a Professor there, but it remains the case even among later initiates who were never even in Bavaria.

    So maybe someone like Fichte born in the 1760s never became an official member because he was born to late, the order was officially dissolved by the time he reached the minimum age requirement.
