Terry you believe that “Asiatic Brethren” have countinuity from ancient times? You know that occult societies love to fabricate that they have ancient origins, so there is no reason to belive that “Asiatic Brethren” have some ancient origin.

    • This was written 10 years ago, and before my book by 4. I’ve since investigated nearly all of the occult traditions during the enlightenment and where they came from and took myths from. The Asiatic Brethren was merely a hodge-podge of Rosicrucianism and Lurianic Kabbalah, and more precisely a schismatic initiatic society from the former with help from Jews with knowledge about the latter. At the time of this writing, in 2005, there was a prominent website called the Authentic Tradition of the Illuminati that attempted to trace an authentic occult lineage through the ages with excerpts from various occult and conspiratorial books along with an intricate timeline. It no longer exists and the pages I saved from it, in hindsight, give too much credence to myth as real history, leaps of faith and plenty of confirmation bias.

The Hessen-Kassel family, however, by the time Karl became a member of the Illuminati and the Asiatic Brethren, were prominent patrons of the occult underground since the time of the first Rosicrucian manifestos and before that with alchemists looking for the philosopher’s stone transmuting lead into gold. Hessen-Kassel as a family still hasn’t been studied to flesh out this line of inquiry fully. It would make a good dissertation for a PhD student studying esotericism, actually.

Has anyone noticed Drexel, Anton (1753-1830) aka Pythagoras, Libararian at Munich, in the list of early Illuminatists? Anton Drexel was also the name of one of the founders of the German Workers’ Party (Deutsche Arbeiterpartei – DAP), which later became the Nazi Party.

One more coincidence: Busche, Georg (Baron von dem).

    Or are these coincidences?
